Club History

The Redlands Morning Kiwanis Club was founded in 1980, under the sponsorship of the Kiwanis Club of Redlands (commonly referred to as the "Noon" Club). No single person was more responsible for the club's formation than the late, beloved Larry Moore. His wonderful wife, Julie, is still a member of our club. We have moved around to various venues during the subsequent years, but we have never lost sight of the ideals and vision upon which the club was founded.

We support a Key Club at Redlands East Valley High School.

Over the years, we have provided service and funding for nearly every school and nonprofit community service group imaginable.

Through our club's various fundraising activities, we have provided sorely needed funding for many diverse community organizations and efforts, including youth sports, interfaith activities, help for indigent families with children, assistance to the elderly, scouting groups, the Boys and Girls Club, Family Services Association, Joseph's Storehouse, the Redlands Community Music Association, Head Start, Loma Linda Children's Hospital, Redlands Citizen's Volunteer Patrol, and tsunami and hurricane relief. Through our foundation, we provide scholarships to students at our local high schools.
